Thinking about the Brenda Novak diabetes auction
It's that time of year again and I need to get a quilt made for the Brenda Novak Auction to benefit diabetes research. Both Brenda & I have sons the same age who have Type 1. I am thrilled to participate for the second straight year.
This year I'm thinking "rainbow."
You should go check out the auction site. There's already some cool stuff posted.
This year I'm thinking "rainbow."
And here's a sneak preview of my work in progress. I expect to have the top completed by the end of the weekend.
Oh, that's going to be so pretty!!!! I LOVE the colors... and I think I'm even familiar with the design! Maybe. LOL. Another blog friend of mine made or is still making--a rainbow quilt for her young son with color blocks like that and all kinds of fabrics with cool kid designs. I looked so fun! Wanna take a peek?
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching! :)
I love those colors!! Can't wait to see the final product. I love the auction. Last year was the first time that I ever actually won anything. All the big stuff is always way out of my price range once the bidding really gets going, unfortunately. But last year I got a basket of books and a couple other stand-alone books. It was great, and for a great cause.
ReplyDeleteThank you both! I had fun pulling out the colors. And yes, Christine, it will sort of be like your friend's. And that's a very cool kid quilt, too. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteLori, I didn't win anything the first year I tried, but the second year I won a nice pack of stuff from Nicola Cornick. That was neat. It's an amazing auction. I'm blown away by how much stuff is there to bid on.
